The photos are about the Lantern Festival in Shantou. The first photo is an activity to worship the gods in our homeland. There are hundreds of gods in Chaoshan area. The young and strong villagers carry the well-decorated figure of the god and walk around the village. There are also people performing the local music with different types of instruments.   

 The second photo is about people caring the god figures and jumping over the bonfire. Villagers believe the evils can be taken away and fortune will come to the village by doing this.
